When dog owners try pet grooming at home, there are various common mistakes that are made. Pet grooming is a skill, but with the right gear and persistence it can become a family duty that will save both time and expense. You need to be careful. Another mistake in novice pet grooming is getting shampoo or conditioner or even other chemicals in your pet's eye. Both from your blunder or from the pet's head movement soap can splash. This accidental act will sting your pet's eyes and lead to an distressing pet grooming encounter. Wash the soap out with water or saline alternative and dab the corners of the eye with a sterile cloth. Sooth your animal so you can take the focus off their eyes and possibly gain their focus by showing them a favorite toy or ball. Place the toy so the pet can see it. Move the toy forwards and backwards. As your pet monitors the toy, look into their eyes for signs of irritation.
